Best Online Bible Study Tool – FOR FREE

Best Online Bible Study Tool for FREE

When I was in high school, we still used physical BOOKS to do our research.

Yeah, I’m that old.

Nowadays, most of us do our research online and those big reference books are decorations on our shelves (having many leather-bound books makes us feel smart). Since this is now the case, I wanted to share with you the ULTIMATE BIBLE STUDY TOOL I’ve found, and what makes it amazing is: IT IS FREE.

I cannot fathom why it would be free beyond the fact that it is an act of God, but it is amazing. It is called: e-Sword.

Having you ever heard of it? Not likely. More often than not, Christians have no idea what I’m talking about. But it is a necessary resource to have at your disposal if you are going to be doing Bible studies – which you should be!

It is free software for your computer that includes:

  • several translations
  • the Strong’s dictionary
  • commentaries
  • a journaling editor

It is the whole kit and kaboodle!

With all these resources in one spot, the possibilities and applications for this free software are limitless. There is one just thing: there is a little bit of a learning curve.

Below I have a screenshot and at first glance, it looks like a lot.

e-sword

It looks like a lot because it is a lot.

But that is what makes it so fantastic! Everything you see in this shot is free!

I have used it countless times when I really want to dig deep into the word. When something seems confusing or even contradictory to another verse *gasp*, and I study it out using this tool and it all makes sense. This tool helps us to see God’s word in a complete view while being able to pick it a part piece by piece.

I highly recommend having this software on your computer because it makes studying the Bible simple without deluding the word. To download e-Sword, click this link!

About Author

Amanda Schenkenberger

I'm a wife to a hard working man and a mama of three little adorable boys. We live near Portland, Oregon and we love it. Portland has a great vibe and we love sharing the good news of the gospel with the people here.

I'm a stay at home mom first, then a work at home mom. The kids have to come first. I love people, hiking, coffee, converse, and Jesus. I also love coffee. And another favorite thing of mine is coffee. :) If you like coffee, we should be friends.

My one ridiculous dream I'd really like to come true is to collect one of every Starbucks mug that is related to a city or country.

Have a blessed day!
